Volunteers

Criteria for Choice

1. Is a member of the Ilderton Agricultural Society.
2. Has shown a volunteer time commitment to work for the betterment of the IAS for a minimum of 3 years.
3. Upholds the values of the society through a leadership capacity.
4. May be an active participant or someone who has worked in the past.
5. May come from any aspect of the fair program and may be of any age.
6. May be either an individual or a group.

Nominations

1. Must be submitted, in writing to the president of the fair or designate or an ad hoc committee by November 1, of the nominating year.
2. The president, designate or ad hoc committee will review the submissions and will present the candidates at the January directors’ meeting for approval.
3. Individuals selected will be honoured at the Annual General Meeting of the IAS at the end of January, with a framed volunteer recognition certificate from the IAS.

Number of Awards

1. Maximum in any one year, 3 individuals and/or 1 organization.
2. The volunteer recognition may be given annually but only if the committee recommends and the directors approve.
